Salmon Soup

Salmon soup is important "basement" for long safaris both, in winter and in summer. It´s easy to make in a pot on open fire. ( At home, you do not need open fire - hot plates work as well....)
You need piled potatoes, salmon, onions, fish broth, milk, butter, salt and pepper. In addition you can also add some carrots, and for extra flavor, some bay leafs.  So let´s start, this is fast and very easy:
Put fish broth, potatoes, chopped onions ( and couple of bay leafs, if you like). Add enough water to sink all potatoes. Put your hot plate on, and let the soup boil for 10 mins.

Now ad carrots if you have, and let the soup shimmer another 10 mins.

Check wit fork, that potatoes are tender. If NO, keep shimmering until they are. Add salmon and milk (... to make the flavor even richer use mixture of milk and cream instead of just milk). Continue keeping your pot on hot plate until you see first bubble: STOP, do not cook a minute longer.
Take the pot out from the hot plate!

In the end, add butter and chopped dill. Season with salt and pepper. Close the lid and wait 5 mins
Salmon is not ready yet, but will cook well in few minutes under the lid.
Enjoy !!!
